Meet Heather Meacham
I have worked with kids for as long as I can remember, from volunteering in the nursery, to babysitting, to working at a daycare, to teaching preschool, to being a nursery coordinator for the last 15 years! It has been a blessing to pour into so many little lives over the years and I’m super excited for this next chapter!
Giggles & Grins Preschool opened in January 2015 and is licensed to have 6 kids in the morning and 6 kids in the afternoon. Like it’s name, I plan to laugh a lot wit the kids that are in my program! My heart is to help prepare these kiddos for walking in the door of kindergarten. Beyond knowing their ABC’s, colors, writing their name, etc…I want to partner with parents in laying the foundation of how God sees each one of them! I want to water those seeds of faith and watch them grow over the year(s), so that when the world starts to lie to them, they’re able to stand firm in what the Word says about them!
We will have lots of fun with a routine each day and with our theme each month, you can expect to see our preschool rooms become transformed using our imaginations and creativity! Our learning centers include Dramatic Play, Block Center, Art Center, Table Top Toys, Book Nook and Circle Time. Children learn best through play, and as Mr. Rogers stated, “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”
My husband, Doug, and I have been married for nearly 12 years and I have 4 amazing children – Kade is 22, Kyler is 18, Kaleigh is 16 and Molleigh is an infant.
